I believe every life holds a lesson worth writing down.

My name is Abimbola Lawuyi, and for most of my life, I have been the person people come to when they need to think something through. About love. About faith. About the choices that will shape their next season.

I am an author, coach, and educational leader with more than 20 years of experience walking alongside people through their most important decisions. I have sat with people at every stage, those still waiting, those already committed, and those standing at crossroads they never expected. I know those conversations. I have been in them myself.

At the heart of everything I do is one belief: that love deserves clarity. That the relationships we commit to should be chosen wisely, intentionally, and with a deep knowledge of ourselves.

Dear Single

Singleness is not a waiting room or a pause. It is a meaningful chapter to be embraced, not rushed. Dear Single is a heartfelt collection of letters and stories for anyone navigating singleness with intention. Each letter is paired with a fictional story, a reflection, and an affirmation, offering gentle wisdom and practical insight for this often-misunderstoodseason. Rather than focusing on finding “the one,” this book invites you to turn inward, toward self-discovery, clarity, healing, and wholeness. It encourages you to slow down, reflect deeply, and build a strong foundation before entering any future relationship. Whether you are learning to enjoy your own company, growing into your best self, healing from heartbreak, or preparing for a future relationship, these pages meet you where you are. Dear Single is an invitation to love with wisdom, courage, and intention, starting with yourself.

The Medal Before the Ring

I've noticed how easy it is to become an expert on battles we've never fought. From a distance, every decision looks obvious.  Every mistake seems avoidable. Every solution appears simple.

The Quiet Voice

You don't resist change because you doubt the new way. You resist it because the old way has become familiar. You've held on for so long. It feels familiar, even comfortable.

Saturdays are for parties. Today was no exception. I got dressed, powdered, blended, and properly aso-ebied. Thankfully, my makeup artist redeemed herself.
